Biomechanics
Principles of biomechanics dealing with the science of neuromuscular activity are used extensively in SportsLab training to teach the following:
- Technique
- Weight Transference
- Limb Position
- Rhythm
- Timing
- Relaxation
- Intra and Inter muscular Coordination
- Posture
These principles teach athletes to maintain quality of movement in competitive situations while also maintaining focus under pressure. Biomechanical efficiency is the key to mastering any athletic skill. SportsLab training promotes excellence by sequentially and progressively teaching biomechanics in many stages of simulated competition:
- Sprinting: Starting Technique / Acceleration
- Jumping: Arm Action, Shock Absorption and Timing
- Pitching/ Throwing a Baseball: Muscular Sequencing
- Throwing a Football/ Quarterback Techniques: Power, Accuracy and Touch
- Shooting a Basketball: Timing the Body for Optimal Release
- Hitting a Baseball/ Tennis Ball/ Volleyball: Utilizing Rotational Force to Maximize Power
